First 410 kill NM 78 strong!

Post by kythunter »

First 410 kill very fun and rewarding. Loaded Hal's 78NM with #9.5.
30 yard kill. Flipped him on his back. 21lb 13oz gobbler.
Shot 78NM at 50 yards put 117/10.
Stevens 301, AT3 RD50 red dot, CNC 385.

AT3 RD50 is tough little sight. Very happy with it so far.

Here's the 78NM 40 yard pattern. Red dot was on waddles.

Congrats on an incredible bird, I try and ignore the whole .410 thing. It's a project I dont want to get involved in !

The .410 project was fun. I'd been wanting a .410 from when I first started loading way back in 2015 lol. I'd see Hal and others post there .410 kills and think it would be too cool to kill a big ol' gobbler with a little .410 hand load.
So when the 301 came out it seemed like a good option and so far it's done well. Looking forward to hunting with it again. It's not something I'll carry every time out but will keep a tag or two for the little sub-gauge.
