Not sure I jumped on the Savage band wagon but I did jump on the 410 band wagon , I did purchase a 301 . I figured for the price why not. It has an optics mount and a screw in choke, probably would have spent the 169.00 on getting another brand drilled and tapped and the barrel threaded plus my 10 year old grandson is showing some interest in hunting so I figured it would be a good place to start.

Well I thought I was till the wife decided she was going to hunt with the 301!!! Dang I'm lucky she said I could take it when see didn't go. I told her naw I had my on Savage! a Savage 220A .410! :toothy7:

I had been looking for her one everywhere actually, but the story sounds better the other way!!! Sounds like I'm backing up now!!! :angel4:

The whole point of .410 for me was the ultralight gun. If it weighs three pounds, I'm in.

Thank you Sir, I hope he does as well. I bought mine right off the Savage website, the sale went through Gun Genie and was shipped to my local gun store. Very simple process.

Same thing for me. My semi auto 20 weighs right at 5 pounds but my 410 is less than 3. No reason for me to carry a 5+ pound .410.
