20 gauge tss pattern numbers?

i bought some of the apex 20 gauge 9 shot loads and was wondering... I always pattern at 50 yards my gun is a Remington 870 20 gauge youth 555 indian creek choke...my numbers were right around 200 in the 10 is this low? to me it seems it is comparing to their pattern testing but im not sure

No, that's a good number for 50 yards. It would imply something like 280 to 290 at 40 yards, a good place to be.

It all depends on what numbers you want.
I can put over 300 in the 10"/40 with a .555 but the rest to 20" are splotchy and sparce.
A .570 will give me 260ish+ in the 10"/40 but the 20" numbers are well dispersed and the 10"/20" pattern is a much more even pattern.
I killed a gobbler at 19yds this year. I held the X-hairs about 3" in front of his beak and still walloped him with dozens of pellets. I just didn't want to annihilate his head. I find that the .570 does what I need it to do with a 1-7/16oz of T9s.
200/10/50 is a turkey killer. You just need to figure out how many pellets you want to do the job.

That sounds just about right for 50. I would be pleased.

OK wasn't sure I'm happy with it but I see some pattern pics with 300 in the 10 at 50 on apex site

exactly
most guys have no clue what a true 40 yards is..
I laugh daily when I hear guys say they won't shoot over 40 yards at a gobbler

Heck I thought my 15 yard Indiana shot was 20! Easy to judge distance when I’m not a heavy breathing emotional wreck when old tom comes running in!

most guys have no clue what a true 40 yards is..
I laugh daily when I hear guys say they won't shoot over 40 yards at a gobbler
True and "it looks to be 50yds" or "50 paces" at the range usually isn't.
That goes for 40yds too .
It is tough not to post a pic of the best pattern but 3 or 5 shot averages tell more about what a choke and load is really doing. Consistency is the key.

yep
I have found tho that TSS actually shoots closer more consistent patterns than say like Hevishot did in times past.
I haven't shot the Longbeards much to test them for consistency

Exactly what I want, an 18-20" pattern at 40 yards. Plenty of wiggle room but still puts a lot of shot in a birds head.
Just picked up a new 20 tonight and have 3 different tubes to play with. 3# of TSS #9s on the way from Hal. Hoping to work up a good choke load combo this summer and give it a try this Fall.

.562s will throw a nice even pattern as well. It’s not super tight like a .555 but not as open/even,10-20” as a .570. As others have said it’s all in what you, the hunter prefer.

I always liked a hotter core in my patterns so that's what I always shoot for
