Tri-star build

Post by okiefowler »

So I've been working on a build for myself on my wife's Tristar raptor 20 gauge youth.

Started out with a Tristar raptor youth 20 gauge in muddy girl pink camo and threw a Carlson flush xf .585 choke, also have an H.S. Undertaker in .582 to try out as well. Took an old camo shirt and sewed together a gun sock to cover up the pink. Have a b-square universal cantaleiver that'll be in tomorrow, and a red dot that dad is letting me borrow off of his 300 blackout. Ready to get this thing sighted in and for season to start here in okie land 6-6-18

Was going to put dads vortex red dot but turns out it's only for picatinny rail and not weaver. Ended up mounting his aimpoint on there temporarily. Now to sight in tomorrow.ImageImage

Well I got it sighted in saturday and shot the HW #6 at 40. I'm very impressed with the pattern, didn't count pellets but if I do my job a turkey will die. Have a tightwad 570 and a Carlsons. 575 in transit to try out and see how those do. Dad was really impressed with them and I may have converted him!

I would hunt that muddy camo and not cover it up 😂

You can one of the slots out a little wider to make the Vortex fit
Don't start none, won't be none!

I will eventually file out the slot later.

I actually did hunt the muddy camo last year and got picked out twice by hens, figured I'd cover it up to eliminate an excuse.
