Lightweight gun weights
Re: Lightweight gun weights
6#+/- depending on the model. I emailed Joel Etchen's shop a while back and got them to weigh one. If you have a specific model in mind that's a way to get an exact weight.
Re: Lightweight gun weights
Heavier than I would have thought with a thick pad added-
NEF Pardner Youth 20 gauge @ 5 lbs 11 oz.

That is a nifty number, much better than what my 410 is shooting with factory full. What choke threads does Sumtoy use on the .410? Also, does anyone know if he can gun chokes on a cut down barrel?hookedspur wrote: ↑December 23rd, 2019, 9:27 pm Shoots good to .

Re: Lightweight gun weights
he has a odd ball invector-winchoke and over the summer he started doing invector plus. the invector plus is true to size!toasty wrote: ↑December 25th, 2019, 1:16 amThat is a nifty number, much better than what my 410 is shooting with factory full. How's about the M3020?hoobilly wrote: ↑June 28th, 2018, 9:15 pm weighted a few of my turkey hunting shotguns tonight..
Tristar Viper 28ga is 5lbs 13oz
Encore 20ga is 6lbs 6oz with sling 6.10 (has Burris FF3)
Tominator is 6lbs 7oz (shotgun muzzleloader)
M2 20ga is 6lbs 2oz with sling 6.7
SPST 20ga is 6lbs 12oz and with sling 7.1 (has Vortex Venom)
Ithaca 37 12ga is 6lbs 12oz with sling 7.1 (has Vortex Viper)
I thought the Ithaca 12ga was lite.. but shocked to see it weights the same as the 870 20ga
BIG BLUE NATION FOREVER

Re: Lightweight gun weights
Not a lightweight, but a 26" WInchester SX3 Universal Hunter weighs 6 lbs 10 oz. It's a real soft shooter tho.

Re: Lightweight gun weights
I would like one in a 21” barrel. Cut down and possibly winchoke threads. It would be sweet for turkey killing
Can’t remember if I weighted my 3020 turkey or not. But feels light
Re: Lightweight gun weights
I do not have a A400 but my Beretta 391 youth model 20 gauge weighs 6 pounds 6.7 ounces with a FF3 in a speedbead mount.

‘22 Charles Daly 101 Turkey. Burris FF3 w adapter on supplied picatinny rail. Swapped factory choke for IC .385. As listed, the total weight is 4 lb 13 oz. Not real light, not real heavy?

Re: Lightweight gun weights
Well, for 410 I didn’t think so? I also have a Yildiz TK36 and Stevens 301, it seemed to have best features of both. Only things I don’t like is bead is off center and synthetic stock is hollow and noisy. When I shoulder it seated, never fails to hit a buckle or button and make a noise. Going to address stock when I can figure what to stuff it with!

Re: Lightweight gun weights
Stuff it with packing peanuts. Don't use the corn starch ones as they might not hold up and you'd have a mess. Or get a Beartooth neoprene sleeve for the stock exterior. It is listed as a comb raising kit.
