Yildiz .410 O/U. 3 shot average. Consistent numbers

Post by SpitNDrumN »

40 yards with .385 Comp N Choke in the top barrel. Apex 3" 27/32oz 9.5's. POA and POI dead on with the single dead with the top barrel and comp n choke at 40. Bottom barrel with modified choke was just a fuzz low. The break action lever makes for a good "anchor point" with the single bead with mine. For me the bead is in the center of the vent rib when I line the bead up with the top left corner of the break action lever when looking flat down the vent rib preparing to shoot.

Shot 3 shots for a average. Average was 186/125/85% @ 40yds
187/125
184/125
189/126

I shot it once at 50 and it put up 81 in the 10 and 150 in the 20.

As far as the gun goes I'm in love with it. Light, shoulders good, aims points and swings very nice. I'm left handed. The stock does have a little bit of cast in it for a right handed shooter even tho the website says they are ambidextrous. Well they are ambidextrous but I can't tell there's any cast in by shouldering the gun. Most people are right handed anyway. But if you are left handed and thinking about getting one what little cast is in does not effect me at all.

Sounds like a winner. It's hard to believe we're talking 50 yard guns in a .410 and some pushing 60.

It lost about 100 pellets out of the 10" circle from 40 - 50 yds that's interesting since you don't see too many 50 yd 410 patterns.

Awesome patterns, and very consistent!!! I've got a ATI Cavalry SX O/U .410 which only weighs 4.25 lbs, but it has little one inch long chokes that don't shoot good. Can't beat the Yildiz O/U's for a turkey gun!!!

You talking about the factory flush chokes that come with the gun when you are saying little 1" chokes?

2Shooter, I believe the Yildiz O/U's have the same choke system as the ATI, I think they are both Mobil chokes.

No, I ordered a EX-Full Mobil .410 choke from Briley, and it wouldn't fit down the barrel. The part that fit down the barrel was 1/2" to 3/4" longer than the factory chokes that came with my ATI. The Yildiz .410 does have Mobil style chokes. Steve

Thanks 2Shooter, I was just going by what ATI had on their website, on there they state that they have the Mobil Choke System but they are also the ones that listed it at "just over 6 pounds" also. Here is a link

Yeah I did too till I bought a .410 mobile choke. Mobil style threads, that's the only thing that looks like a mobil choke in the .410's!! Other than that, and it can be worked around they are great little guns at 4.25 lbs for a O/U!!!

I got 160 10's in the 10" at 40 Yards with a one of Williams chokes. That choke was one of the first he made for the ATI, and now he's made some different one's that pattern better.
