Lead patterns

Post by Zombie1978 »

Looking for a good even 30 yard lead load for my 20ga. Here is a 30 yard pattern with Longbeard #5. Good pattern just not even. Image

If you're only going to go to 30 yards then just use number sevens they'll kill that far

There are no numbers on any of my clocks below 8. Then all of a sudden, 2 days before turkey season they appear. Then right after the season they disappear.
What's up with that

You probably already know this - but we found out that the new long beards really perform best out of a very clean barrel / choke - scrubbed the heck out of my 12 ga 870's and cousin's 20 ga 870 and 12 ga moss berg, plus soaked our chokes overnight, with plastic dissolving Hoppes, not just #9 - patterns improved significantly.

The reloading experts can provide better explanation, I'm just a shooter........
