Do you have the 2nd shell loaded? Reason I ask is my 555 28ga doubled when my daughter shot a 1 1/8oz TSS turkey load last fall. I had not seen it double until that time and I attribute it to a heavy recoil load. I was laughing, but she did not think it was funny at all and she was sore the next day. I don't have the pattern to post right now, but we shot a .531 Carlson's extended full and I felt the pattern was a little too tight for my kids.

Yes I had both barrels loaded . No problem yet ,but it does thump pretty good for a 28ga
