New England Arms 410 tss pattern

Post by PAGobblergetter »

Finally got around to shooting my New Englands Arms 410 loaded with some tss #9.5s. I am really happy with the results going to have it drilled and tapped for a mueller quik shot sight to bring down the POI. Possibly going to have the gun dipped in mossy oak obsession also! Can't wait for the season opener to carry this gun.

I only had made up 2 shells just to try 20 yards. I just reloaded 5 more going to shoot it at 40 just to see what happens then save the rest till I get the sight put on. I need to order more 9.5s.

Got to shoot it at 40 yards this morning. It did 115 in a 10 inch circle at 40 yards. Going to send her off to the gunsmith this week for the drill and tap and scope base mount.

It is the New England Arms Pardner Single shot. The gun has a 26" barrel and factory full choke.

ATI makes an AR style stock set.

The New England website says 5-6 pounds I never weighed mine before .
I know it feels really light almost like a toy gun! I beleive the yildiz 410 that guys are using only weighs like 3 pounds thats half the weight. This summer when I go down south for vacation I hope to come home with a yildiz!!

I tried to buy one when I was down south and academy wouldn't sell me one. They said they couldn't sell one to a person that lives in a state where they don't have a store. Stupidest thing I'd ever heard of. I talked to the manager and it was still a no go.

They told me that they could if my state joined their state. I.e. Ohio could buy in KY, but not in Alabama. But it does seem as if some stores write their own rules

That is the screwiest thing I've heard about not selling to someone from a state that doesn't have an Academy. I doubt if that is the law. Academy is a tad goofy when it comes to gun sales and it's not just the above. Last gun I bought from them, a Yildiz .410, I had to be escorted out of the store by the store manager who handed me the boxed gun when I got outside. However, don't be tempted to buy a gun for someone else. That is clearly against the law and where one gets in trouble is signing the transfer document in which the buyer states that the gun is bought for the buyer and not for someone else. Be careful. Strawman purchases are clearly illegal and you don't want to risk losing your right to own gun just by being a nice guy. Gil

I've got my FFL so if you know what you want I can ship to your FFL in your state. You would have to pay shipping and transfer fees but you would have one. I'm in NC.

Bass Pro in NC would not sell me a gun as a PA resident. Told me the same "neighbor" state story. But the would ship to BP in Harrisburg PA and I could pick it up there.

If you buy a gun for someone else, you have violated the law. And I sure wouldn't offer to do so on an internet forum. And it makes not a penny's difference that you have an FFL. Form 4473 certifies that you are the actual buyer and not buying for another. The exception is if you are picking a gun up for repair for another.

Surely you aren't referring to my comment of me having my FFL and shipping a firearm to the FFL a person wishes to receive it. I am owner of Triple J Guns Inc. and I buy and sell ship firearms weekly to many and it's all within the law. 4473 form is filled out upon acceptance of the firearm by the one wishing to take ownership of the firearm. So once I ship to the FFL of choice of buyer that person fills out 4473 form for them taking ownership at that FFL. It seems you are misled by the 4473 form. Every one of my transactions are legal and I am not afraid of an ATF audit. The straw purchase law is for the person buying a firearm and then selling it illegal to someone. It's really simple if you know the law. If what you're saying is true then no FFL could sell a firearm. www.triplejguns.com
