A buddy loaded up a 1-1/2 oz 10 x 9-1/2 shell the other day, shot it, and sent me this 40 yd picture:
Carlson sporting clay ex full .526, Stevens 555 26" barrel. 10s and 9-1/2s were mixed, not stacked.
28 ga 10 x 9-1/2, 1-1/2 oz
28 ga 10 x 9-1/2, 1-1/2 oz

Wow! Now that is awesome. And to think.....a 28 gauge? People strive for this with a 12 gauge and hevishot 7s. And this load has much more usable range.

Dang Hal that's super nice what's the range on that load with 91/2 and 10's?
Re: 28 ga 10 x 9-1/2, 1-1/2 oz
Assuming viable patterns, 9-1/2s give 1.25" ballistics gel penetration to 60 yds, and the 10s to 51.6 yds. It'll be interesting to get field test reports on them this spring...2Shooter wrote:Dang Hal that's super nice what's the range on that load with 9-1/2 and 10's?

I see an order for TSS 9.5's and 10's in my future.
