Mossberg sa-20

Post by fountain »

Anyone tried one of these guns?

I picked one up off of gun broker last week for my wife since she didn't want to dip her m2. It's the turkey thug gun with 22" bbl. I looks and feels good so far, and it even came with the dead ringer sights ( she loves the stupid things). I was told they have benelli threads. I'm guessing they are the mobile choke system as the m2 choke will thread but not sit fully in. Looking forward to getting a different choke and sending some tss through it.

My bro's did this with .555 IC and 1 5/8oz of 9's. This was the 26" barrel regular model SA-20.
He loves his, lightweight and shoots straight.

My dad shoots one. Patterns just fine with the factory full and tss. Could go tighter but it is a solid 50 yard gun. Nice and light. Green value.

Why the heck did they make 2 different type choke threads for the same gun???
I know it's not the same as the m2. It screwed in, but where the threads are on the m2 is the killer.
