Anyone ever messed around with souping one of these up??? Just came across one of these that is "like" brand new. Wondering if its worth the effort. Thanks!!

Absolutely love mine. Don't think about it anymore, just buy it. They don't need any "soupin up" outside of TSS.
Flush factory full, T9-1/2's...

Hey WW! LOL! AFTER I posted I did a search and your name was all over the Franchi 48! That's an impressive pattern and a pretty good track record you've put together. I really like the small gauges and have been curious about the TSS for a while. Especially for BP! I posted and inquired about that a few days ago. Not sure I am ready to gear up for the whole reloading thing yet.....but I have the gun....that deal is done already. :D thanks for the input!

Good deal man, you should enjoy it. Don't let the reloading thing intimidate you, plenty help around here.....and it'll turn that 28 into a sho nuff turkey killa.

LT- nothing to loading TSS, I've never done 28 but 20 ga and 410 haven't been a problem. I just follow my recipes and then count all the pellet holes. I'd love to have a 28 to play with one of these days.

Yeah it is a sweet, sweet little gun. I had always wanted a 28 and a buddy bought this one, new, for his wife. Wood is gorgeous. She never used it so it sat around and is pretty much NIB. I had a gun he had been wanting for a long while so we worked a deal. Don't know if I'll keep it long term or not. Been trying to "thin the herd". LOL! but I am happy, happy right now!

Thanks for the encouragement Dave!! Great Muley you brought home! Well done!!

I killed a hard headed field bird in KS at 53 yards. Every other bird I've killed with the 28 has done a little flopping....he didn't even twitch for some reason.

So 40 prob be about the most efficient distance for it really? Or would you trust it to 50

I shot this gun right out of the box with the factory full choke, and it's more than sufficient to 50 yds with 9s or 9-1/2s.
