You might want to try the 1 5/8 oz. load and see if it shifts more into the 10"-20" ring. Some of us prefer a more balanced pattern to give us a better margin of error. I hunt mostly in the timber and swamps where the long shots aren't the norm. YMMV especially if you are a field hunter. Using the same choke in the 20 ga. Baikal MP-18, I am happy with 250/250 more or less. From 10" to 20" is three times the surface area of the 10" ring. Gil

Have to agree with Gil. It's a beautiful pattern, but too tight for me to hunt with. Might not be for you.

I am going to try loading it with no buffer to see if it will open it a bit.

Eliminating buffer can make a difference sometimes, but not all the time. Gil
