Great gun sounds like a good price.. I have a friend that bought two M1 20s when they were discontinued they were closed out for 750.. Funny thing his are M1s not M2 Americans and they have Crio Chokes.

I bet they were mid year change over guns and only had the crio barrels left in stock to make complete guns.ICDEDTURKES wrote:Great gun sounds like a good price.. I love my M2 20ga
uses 2 different tubes
Indian Creeks in .555 and .562
TSS does well with both
Hevishot likes the .555
Fed HW7 does well with the .562

Bump. Just bought a M1 Super 90 20 ga. Gonna start with a trulock 565 ext non ported. Any other suggestions? Looking for around a 60-40 pattern in the 10"-20" at 40 yards with TSS 9.5s.

The Indian Creek .562 throws good pattern in my M2 with the 1 5/8oz load. Probably work similar in you M1 even with different threads.
.555 would probably put up crazy numbers with the 9.5's.

This is what I use in my M2
If my grand Daughter is shooting (562)
555 if I'm up.

I have a M1 and M2. M1 with rhino .575 TSS 9's in 10" circle 325/130. M2 Factoy full in 10" circle with TSS 9's 275/180. M2 with Indian Creek .555 in 10" circle with TSS 9'S was around 190, didn't count what was in the 20" on the shots with the IC choke. I prefer the M1 HANDS DOWN TO THE M2!!!

That combo should be putting up 290's-300's with a 1 5/8 oz. load?DC1. wrote:M2 with Indian Creek .555 in 10" circle with TSS 9'S was around 190

Do you have to use the 2 3/4" load in the M1?

Re: benelli m1 20ga
That's what was recommended to me. I know guys that shoot the 3" and have problems and a couple that don't have any issues. I didn't see the reason to chance it. The 2 3/4" loads do great.britton40 wrote:Do you have to use the 2 3/4" load in the M1?
Re: benelli m1 20ga
Thats what i thought but, it would never get any better. I sold the choke, it's not any better in the other gun....01Foreman400 wrote:That combo should be putting up 290's-300's with a 1 5/8 oz. load?DC1. wrote:M2 with Indian Creek .555 in 10" circle with TSS 9'S was around 190

Call Indian creek and tell them you are shooting tss and they will send you the choke. I had a .555 but the one they sent me after I mentioned tss shoots better.

I shot the 565 non ported trulock, 570 ported pure gold, and a 575 Carlson's. The pure gold had the hottest core. I settled on the 575 Carlson's ext non ported.
