It's a 10 gauge and uses the same chokes as Browning. It has a Comp-N-Choke in it. xxxfull I think.

Show some shot guns

Post by BrentM »

I keep downsizing. Started out with a single shot ten gauge that I don't own anymore. Went from there to a Benelli Nova with a 28" barrel that handled about like a boat paddle and kicked like a mule. Then there was a BPS that I won at the NWTF banquet a few years ago.........I liked it ok but it was really too long like the nova and hard to get around in the woods. Finally sold it.
From there I went to the SPS-T and loved it (and still do) I didn't think it would ever be replaced but I'm officially a twenty gauge turkey hunter now. The little 870 compact is gonna get a shurshot stock and a paint job and probably a fast fire over the summer.
I guess the next step for me is a .410. I'm keeping my eye out for a good used single shot I can turn into another project

Bead here too. Been the whole route from iron sights, fiber sights, BFF II and back to beads. Harder for me to screw those up.

My thoughts exactly, went bead to rifle sights, then the fastfire, then to scope, then back to bead. In my short turkey career seems like simpler is always way to go.

The Super Bantam 20 is in both photos. I beginning to think it's time to start culling. :turkeywave:

If you don't mind me asking, where did you come up with the little gobbler graphics you put on the little single shot? I'm about to paint one up and I'd like to put something like that on mine.

I can't understand why I think I need a different gun than this one. SBE with a Bushnell Holosight loaded with tss #8. Hard to imagine how a gun could be any "better."

Brent, google wild turkey photographs and/or wild turkey and look at the images. I describe how to make the stencils out of the photos in the 20 gauge section of this site under my 20 gauge single shot gun project. Gil
