Thanks,

did you put a limb saver or something like it back on, or the org. recoil pad back on?

I don't get real excited about technology but I have been impressed with limb saver pads

I remember way back in the day on the NWTF forum you posting pictures of that 10ga. Without the steel bar in the stock they tend to make a guy go cross eyed

Oh my gosh - same thing. I bought my little 12 gauge single 20+ years ago, and of course had to try the new 3.5" Winchester loads which were all the rage. And yep, my shoulder looked exactly like that after touching off just four rounds, except my black/blue went all the way to my breastbone. Never occurred to be to try the 3" or 2.75" - bigger was better.

Freddie, love that!

Plus one to that, limbsavers tame even the mighty mossberg 835.....except when they fall off leaving you stranded with a hard piece of plastic against your shoulder in a firefight in the middle of Nebraska.

The best thing about handloading TSS.....recoil is virtually nothing compared to the danged 3 1/2" Winchester Supremes I used to shoot. I'm not sure I'd survive them in a single shot.

That’s why I’m not shooting lead or even 3”-3.5” in this gun

I prefer my shoulder to stay in place 😆

There was but for a while it looked like it was gonna end in a losing foot race. I shot the majority of a box of federal tss. I have no way of proving it but I swear the box I got was way under velocity. Did not get a single clean kill outta that box, the other birds were all that weird “half dead”gobbler that needs its neck wrung. The shells were also loose as all heck, sounded like a kids toy rainmaker.

I opened a box at a local Walmart last year because it was rattling. Shot started running out. All 5 shells were leaking. There were more boxes I didn't check, but the shelves were littered with shot. I said something to the associate, you can imagine how much he cared. So I went to grocery grabbed a box of Ziploc scooped up all the loose shot and drained those 5 leakers. Bought my Ziploc bags and left. I have not seen them that bad again, bit seems like the first runs of federal tss were very poorly loaded and QCed.

Yessir! :usa:
Sal's got one in green leaf she shoots ol white outta. You can tell when she's in the game when we traveled bruised cheek to shoulder. She's only one man enough to shoot it. When I have friends shoot it they curse me out. One day I shot a 3.5 longbeard no sled I had 2 concussions in football one putiin my head through a windhield and one snowmobiling not sure didn't have my fifth

That's her "baby" She hated when I got her a 20. When in multi bird a day states kill one eject shell reload kill his buddy. I'm like sitting in disbelief.

If she still hunts with it I need to set her up with the same load I’ll be using. Half the recoil but deadlier due to tss

Nice gun. Wish I could find a 12g. in good great shape with the old camo. I have a 10g. and 20g. like that, but haven't found a 12g. yet.
I'm going to pattern the 10g. with #7 Fed Heavyweights and see how they do.
