I’m scared to shoot it..

Post by Hoobilly »

Made it Ky this afternoon. While talking choke tubes and turkey loads I pulled out some Tennessee Twisters for my buddy Crow and his son Andy

They turn around and give me a old H&R 12ga!
3.5” and I swear it feels like it weighs 5 lbs.

I gotta get a IndianCreek for it now and load some Gwisters in a lighter powder charge. Gotta buy a limbsaver also before I shoot it. I’m humbled by this. Good people

I’d be running a 1-5/8 or 1-3/4 ounce load of straight 9’s in that baby.

Good deal! Nice little gun.

You should be scared. I tried 3.5" through mine. Four rounds, and I was literally black/blue across my chest, shoulder and right arm.

Been shooting Hevi 3-2-7s through it ever since. The 3" still whoop you but its manageable.

I have it in a 10 with a sythetic pistol grip. I used it for years. I think that's what's wrong with me.

:LMAO:

Or that’s what’s right about you?
10 is way heavier than this lil thing. Can’t imagine shooting a big shell through this gun.

I will do some shooting to see what can be done with a liter payload etc

They will loosen your fillings up!! I know a guy that bought one when they first came out with the 3.5 inch chamber. He killed a turkey with it and complained about shoulder pain for 2 weeks. Ended up fractured his collar bone!!!

I bet a lite load like above mentioned in a 2 3/4" Twister would be sweet out of this gun..

I will have plenty of time to get it ready for next season. or maybe even fall turkey down in Ky

Other than the time my 7mm caused the scope to bite my nose. I can honestly say that H&R is the only gun I ever shot that hurt me. Hurt me real bad. I still have nightmares. LOL. Use it for a lamp post.
