12 ga 2 3/4” tss loads

Does anyone have a good 12ga 2 3/4 tss load for turkey? I have an old 870 wingmaster with a fixed choke that is super tight. It won me several rounds on paper shooting. I was wanting to make it a hunting gun because my grandad gave it to me and it has a lot of sentimental value. Any advice?

Normally whoever you buy your shot from will share recipes with you, there are a few people on here that does that two of them being Hawglips and Shooter. Hope this helps.

Shooter has a excellent 2 3/4” load
That’s pretty much what I’ll be using from now on

The first load I came up with back in '06 with the 9s was a 2-3/4" 1-5/8 oz 12 ga load for my brother's old Wingmaster. It was a gun he won in the 80s in a biggest deer contest. Anyway, he killed two with it the next spring in TX that were much farther than polite company will talk about when he badly misjudged the distance. A 2-3/4" 2 oz load is my shell of choice when I'm shooting a 12 ga.

Yep...and it’s this “throwback” from Hal that’s got me digging my 12 gauge again. Not to pick a fight, but it’s less temperamental than the Big 20’s (which are still great). It’s gonna be a starter this year.
