I practice on calls I can't play well all winter, so that come springtime, when I use the ones I like, I sound like a maestro to myself.

The last couple osceolas I killed cost me about $300, including everything. But I hunted public land and camped out.

Probably the way you set up. But it's a combination of the two it seems to me.

Most of the time a partner hinders me. But there has been at least one bird that I killed, that had I not had a partner, he would have lived to gobble the next morning.

It depends on who it is I'm calling for. Each of my kids' first turkeys was a huge thrill. And it is calling for a close friend's first bird also. It all depends on the situation.

I agree with you Mike. Since we have to pay to play, so should they. Or either give us exclusive rights to the gamelands during all hunting seasons. But the problem with that is, they may call our bluff, and we may end up with having to vacate on more days of the week than we are already stuck with.
