I've killed half a dozen doubles, 6-8 triples and 2 Quadruple beards in 20 + years on this 160 acre lease . And my buddy has at least 6-8 multip...

Congratulations. What load did you use in it? I’m sold on the Fox Trot 383 Strokers. I also tried Federal,Apex and Boss Tom. No comparison, Fox Trot all day long followed by Apex, Federal and then Boss Tom. Awesome brother I wondered if the Assassin was still around. Good to see you, stack’em high!...

Re: Tennessee Public Hunting

As we mature as turkey hunters we find our own way. The path we take usually depends largely on success. The handful of highly successful turkey hunters i know have their own set of standards. Most of them, myself included, wont shoot a turkey unless they call it to the gun. 20 years ago we would ha...

Re: Patience kills turkeys

Patient turkey hunters spook less turkeys... patient turkey hunters also kill less turkeys. Not saying the patient turkey hunter won't tag out in he or she's state but a patient turkey hunter probably will not tag out in 5 States

I told him ...

Re: Decline of Wild Turkey Populations

In my short 25 years of chasing these majestic creatures. I have seen the population in my zip code be great, go to ****, be great again and go to **** again. Hunter numbers haven't changed and habitat hasn't changed. The coyote population has changed dramatically so that's where I place my blame.

23rd season for me. Unfortunately I did not have a mentor other than the great tom turkey himself. I sucked so bad for the first five or six years that I damn near quit. I did kill a turkey my first year though.
