First Archery Deer

My good buddy of mine as been after me to get into bow hunting. I have almost done it a few times the last couple years but just never did. He said it was the closet to our beloved turkey hunting you could get with deer. Another good buddy gifted me a bow mid September. It was an older Browning. I p...

In this order is what I prefer, bead, rifle sight fiber optics, and scope. I hate a red dot, though I may put one on my son's gun to help him. :x

Blessed Man

My middle son finally got to the age I felt comfortable taking him hunting. He has been after me to take him a while so I promised him we would go Saturday, 10/17. He asked me about it all week and I told him with no doubt we would go. Saturday we hung around with the family and watched some footbal...

I have the same issue when I use Tapatalk here. Do not have it on any other forums that I have noticed. I just use safari to view it to not deal with the aggravation.

how long does the blade last The link is the one I have. I used one filet blade to clean three turkeys this spring and then cleaned fish with it until late June. I got it last Christmas so I will update you if I clean a deer or two and hogs. Been very happy with it and like it come with the multipl...

Very Nice! Never ran a call from Mr. Lewis but he was a very nice gentleman and that would be a keeper.

Craig Scott aka mudpuppi has started building again recently. Contact him on Facebook, maybe invite him over as he has been posting calls on OG.

Re: Pink Ivory

Great looking trumpet! I love Pink Ivory and have several pot calls made w/ the wood, one is a copper over glass double-sider which screams on the copper, but makes great clucks and gobbler clucks on the glass. The wood also makes great hard/dense strikers which will run on all surfaces. It is a be...

Pink Ivory

Was offered this 2019 Pink Ivory by a friend and fellow forum member. Never had pink ivory but my good buddy USMC0331 swears by it so I decided to get her. So glad I did as she is a killer! Beautiful, dark piece of wood as well. Worst part is we have a little over a 6 month wait. https://uploads.tap...

A friend who lives on property that was granted by the Crown to an ancestor when Georgia was settled did repairs on outbuildings that were over 200 years old. The family has lived on the property continuously since 1733 He gave me some discarded heart pine from what was once part of a turkey pen. I...

Re: Prudhomme Sinker Cypress

The history of the wood is enough on its own to make it desirable. Gil The history of the wood is why I purchased it from the gentleman. It is a great sounding call but I prefer denser woods normally, but since I am from SC and it has history here I wanted to get it. Plus it adds a different tone t...

Prudhomme Sinker Cypress

Was fortunate to be offered this Sinker Cypress by a gentleman recently. Mr. Mark pulled the tree from an old rice field in Georgetown. He said it had at least 500 rings in it. I looked hard at this call and others he had in the wood at Unicoi a couple years ago, but had already spent my allotment. ...
