Prayers sent Dusty.
My father retired from the Air Force after 22 years, and my best friend is a retired big wig Navy man, so I have a soft spot for the military anyway.

Re: Way to Grow Gobbler Nation
Tim, you ought to bring your camera down one eve, and get some video of this guy, before he disappears. These are the longest spurs I've ever seen. One of my flying buddies has a quad copter. It is about a foot and a half in size, with a cam mounted on the bottom. He goes over the turkeys, screwing ...

I'm sorry, and maybe I'm all alone on this, but pushing Deer, Turkeys, Pheasants, or whatever with dogs is not hunting, it's shooting.

Re: Way to Grow Gobbler Nation
Yea, especially here in the middle of summer. BTW, Wes, I just got back from the flying field. There were 5 longbeards picking around, and came to under 100yds while we were flying. One monster 11"+ thick paintbrush. After about an hour, I remembered I had my Binos in the Tahoe, so I went and g...

Re: fall hunters?
We have a goofy fall season here in TN. You are allowed to shoot turkeys with a bow, while deer hunting. Then Tn has a 2 week season for shotguns. The WMA that I like to hunt, has a one week season in NOV. Fall Turkeys,...lol, yea, it's different, but fun just the same. Wish we could figure out how ...

That's good to hear. Now if you can just keep the Coyotes from them.

I've got an old Browning Auto 10, that has been retired for at least 10 or 15 years.
I was thinking about selling it, but now what I'm reading,... I may just keep it around and see what happens.

Brian, I'm so sorry to hear. I wish there was something I could say, that would help, cause we all know how much your bud meant to you. I went through the pain also with my Black Lab, Katie. I still mourn her passing when I think of her,...and it has been over 3 years. She slept on the bed with me e...

Re: One of the craziest things I've seen in a while!
You may get a kick out of this. I live on a lake, and there used to be a swimming area for the co. beach, less than a quarter mile from the house. It has been closed down for 10 or 15 years. The channel between the shore and an island is 200yds. Over the years of deer hunting pressure in the area ha...

AL allows 10 bass per person, must be 15" min. These were taken on the TN river at Lake Guntersville. There were 3 of us. I personally don't keep bass to eat, but Rod has several fries through the year. I just remembered,... he put those bass back in the lake here at my house. They were only ou...

Oh, sorry forgot to tell how we caught them. Shad my man, shad. If you are using fishin poles, get FL line and use a blacklight. if you use a spinning reel, cast your shad pieces out and let sink, just leave your bail open, and wait til the line takes off, and set the hook. We caught most on trot li...

Well, I'm not an expert, but we have done pretty good in the last few weeks. Our airplane club had it's annual club picnic the other day, and I always do catfish. Had to feed over a hundred people,...ouch. Probably had 30 to 40 fish in a few days. Here are some pics of a few that were caught. Take c...
