And 870 is 10x the gun the 835 is.
we disagree. 870s are great guns for sure. but not that great.

You can take a Mossberg 835, screw in any reputable turkey choke and shoot any reputably turkey load and most times have a bonefide 40yrd turkey gun. They are the common mans turkey buster. Must be nice (for some) to afford a $2,000 beretta, but 90% of turkey hunters cant. They shoot an 835 or an 87...

a few years ago I decided to challenge myself by trying to kill a longbeard in bluejeans and a bright orange t-shirt. took a whole hour on the first hunt and a bird was hanging over my shoulder. set-up was key in this particular hunt.

that's a monster buck. At least it wasn't spotlighted. I hunted a mid 150s buck all season till he was spotlighted in late November.
