Re: Not so Fun Experience
Man that is trouble. I have had guys stop near where I was hunting one day and crow or call. They knew I was in there hunting. I usually try to get pretty far off the road when I hunt. But when you got a bird close to the road it is hard not to try and hunt him.

This is my 870 Youth Model with the adult length Shurshot Stock added. I just bought a B-Square saddle mount for it today and am putting Vortex Venom on it tonight. Sorry for the sideways picture. Attachment flip it. Just click the photo to see it.

Re: Lowland Merriams suggestions please
I have hunted in New Mexico last year. But it was in the Northeast side. It was at the V7 Ranch in Raton New Mexico. They have pure Merriam’s Turkeys. They have tons of birds. The hunting was fun. I did not have to climb mountains. But we did cover some ground ever day.

Re: Scouting In Another Mans Season
Just scout. But if you are scouting a road that has car or truck parked they may be hunting. Just trend light near those areas with folks hunting. But you may mess someone up. But that is one of the pit falls of Game lands.

Thanks guys. That's a smokin' pattern paboxcall. I figured someone on here had tried that exact combo. The gun came with a brand new GSX and the factory winchester extended x-full, so I'm gonna give those a try first. I've never owned one, but I have patterned guns with the GSX and just never had m...

Okay… I'm a Browning "snob" and am supposed to tell you to purchase a Browning Maxus or Winchester Super X3 (don't even bother with the Super X4)… … but my answer is: Remington V3 3-inch 12 gauge semi-automatic shotgun. Soft as a Silver/Gold/Maxus/SuperX3/FN SLP automatic but MUCH easier ...

My Montana/Wyoming/Idaho connections were lucky. In addition to Chuck in the photo I posted, I knew the brother-in-law of a local man who every year after retirement from the USAF, would leave Warner Robbins, Ga, towing a large Airstream-type camper to the West Yellowstone area in May-June. He woul...
