Gosey Locator calls! AMAZING!

Guys, If yall are looking for some serious good locator calls for next year, please take a look at Daryal Gosey and his crow calls and his new hawk screamer! Daryal made these 3 calls for me in the past two weeks. The crow calls are amazingly realistic, and loud to boot. Not to mention they look ama...

Re: 16 gauge choke question

I shoot the same gun with apex TSS loads. I have 2 trulock chokes, .610 ported and extra full .630 non ported. The .610 ported did 285 in the 10" with #9's and 244 with #8s. The extra full .630 put up 246 in the 10" with #9's and 185 with the #8's. Mind you thats just one shot each with c...

16 gauge choke question

Okay guys, Just looking for opinions here. Nothing more. I am getting ready to put together my Remington 870 16 gauge 23" barreled TSS slinger here soon. Had the gun for a few years now, just haven't had the time to get it done. It is a factory threaded Remington 870 16, hard to find now. I am ...

Re: Who are some of your favorite custom pot call makers?

Gotcha. I have run his teak green slate alot this year. Awesome call! And with Neal's snakewood, gabon ebony, and tulipwood strikers, I have 3 distinct sounds.

Re: Who are some of your favorite custom pot call makers?

Pot calls sound the same to me. Do they to you all? Threre are a lot of good ones. But, they sound like the same hen to me. Definitely not the same. There is definitely differences from call maker to call maker. And if you want a flock of hens, get you a good pot call and add about 8 different stri...

Re: Who are some of your favorite custom pot call makers?

Steve Morgenstern is my absolute favorite. Team his pot with a Neal Hermann snakewood striker, and you got a killer combo. I'm sure others are awesome too, but this is my personal favorite combo. I have both and have done just that. Just curious, which pot of his are you running with Neal's snakewo...

Re: T/C Triumph barrel issue

Thats exactly what I am going to do. I am going to tell them I have been trying to get a nice brand new muzzleloader since the first of February. This is the second one, and this one will be the third. This one better be inspected, no chips, no flaws, and definitely no speed bumps in the rifling. I'...

Re: T/C Triumph barrel issue

I agree.....it is brand new, never fired. This is actually the 2nd one I have received that is defective. First one, I didn't find any barrel flaws, but cosmetically it had chips everywhere and the dip job on the stocks was a joke. If you blow the photos up some, you can see the problem better, but ...

T/C Triumph barrel issue

I know, I know, turkey season is ramping up.......but I do have a question of you guys. I recently purchased a TC Triumph Bone Collector in original Realtree camo. The issue came today when I broke the gun down for its first cleaning.........the barrel has a very rough spot in the rifling about 6 in...

Re: Choke recommendations for 870

I would start with a Carlsons .575 nonported choke honestly. Or Trulock .575 nonported. I bet it will shoot very good and be half the price of the premium chokes.

Re: 20 gauge 7x9 Duplex TSS

Yep.....9x8 1 5/8 ounce duplex. I did this a few years back. It was a nasty load.......had to open the choke up some though. 8s on top, 9s on bottom. That load was shooting around 275 in the 10 at 40 out of a 870. And hit hard. Just a pain if you had to cut one open.

T/C Triumph opinions

Guys, Going to purchase a new muzzleloader for the upcoming season, but have a question or more of an opinion to ask of members here. I am going to definitely go with the Bone Collector version, only because of the features, not because of being a BC/ Waddell fan boy by any means. Here is where the ...

Re: Pure Gold choke experience

They are an awesome choke! Very well machined.......reasonably priced.......easy to work with, even on custom diameters. They have done custom Remchokes for me in my 20 gauge and 28 gauge. IMO, one of the best out there. The .570 typically works the best in the 20s though. Mine is running 295 in the...

Re: TC Encore questions

To change from a centerfire rifle to a muzzleloader on the Encore platform, you will need the barrel/ramrod and a new forearm. The forearm is typically sold separate from the barrel/ramrod. Just recently built another Encore so this is fresh in my mind. Hope this helps.

I love my 870 express .410. It has done very well for me. Not the lightest rig in the world, but I like it!

Express comes with a fixed full choke.
Wingmasters comes with a fixed modified. Only 410 Remington offers with screw in chokes is a 1100.

Re: Forcing cone?

IMO, It totally depends on what you are going to shoot through the shotgun. If you are shooting lead shells, there will be a minimal gain typically lengthening the cone. It helps to keep the lead shot from deforming when passing from the transition, and you may see a slight difference in recoil. How...

What about a weaver rail for the 336 and cut it down and then use the picatinny mount? It will raise the sight up some. Just a thought.

Chufa- where are you getting it?

Guys, started a thread a while back about chufa. I have made my mind up to try and plant some in May. I know the seed rates are 40 lbs per acre, but where are you guys buying your seed? Any suppliers seem to be better than others? I want a good quality seed, but dont want to pay a fortune for it if ...
