Re: Is Tenkara fly fishing?
I had never heard of that kind of rod. Watched video on it and definitely looks like a fly rod to me.

Pole saw transportation
Getting ready to trim limbs off the roads before bush hogging and I always have trouble figuring a good way to haul the pole saw on a utv. Anyone know of a company that makes an attachment to hold the saw or some way to attach it where it is easy to access. Have to cut limbs about every 100 yards or...

Re: Strutter or Looker ?
If you want long spurs try and wait until they are not strutting and turn sideways shoot the one with the narrowest width where there tail feathers start. They are like old men there ass narrows with age. You can thank ol coconut when you see the long spurs.

Re: Some A-hole
I’ve killed two birds with gangrene, from being shot by other hunters, in the last couple years. Shot a turkey a few years ago at about 30 yards with Remington nitro mag 4. When I shot the shell sounded weak and didn’t eject from my old browning a5 but the turkey hit the ground. I started looking a...

It makes me angry that most newspapers have taken away the comments section. Our free speech is disappearing every day and the news media is trying to trick the weak minded into believing there twisted stories.

I see where they charged the Missouri couple that defended there house with a crime. Pointing a gun at looters isn’t excepted there. I guess you are supposed to let them tear up your property and like it.

Re: Yildiz sxs shotguns
Has anyone tried the Yildiz sxs shotguns? I am thinking about getting one in 410. They come with barrel selector and screw in chokes. Academy sight claims less than 4 lbs And I’m not sure it’s that light but it is definitely light. Points nice too. I actually like it better than the o/u but I’m tor...

Re: Winchester model 12
I have a very old nickel steel model 12 16. It was 2 5/8 inch I think but my grandad had gunsmith modify to 2 3/4. It has shot so many shells that the barrel is paper thin and sharp as a knife. Scared to shoot it anymore. Back in my lead shot days I bought a heavy duck model like new with box. The l...

White gobbler
Saw a almost solid white gobbler running with 8 others yesterday. Has black bars on his tail feathers. Is this a tame turkey cross or a naturally occurring color variation?

I had trouble closing one eye when I was his age too , until the pretty girl behind the counter at the country store winked at me one day. I got busy practicing and it’s been pretty much downhill from there.

Re: Left eye dominant and right handed
He is 8. We are getting kinda late start because he didn’t show much interest at first. I had a friend who forced his boy to hunt and the boy hates it now so I didn’t want to make that mistake. Mine wants to shoot every day now. I tried to get him to close one eye but both close every time.

Left eye dominant and right handed
I have been getting lil coconut started shooting a red Ryder BB gun and noticed he was aiming out of his left eye. He is right handed. We did a quick eye dominance test and discovered he is left eye dominant. I have no experience dealing with this any suggestions?

If you see one with a single shot 12 and he tells you he is fixing to tomahawk turkeys in your area you better be concerned.

I know y’all say spur length has very little to do with age but I can tell by listening to one gobble if his spurs will be an inch or longer with a high degree of accuracy.
