I tried duct tape last night. You can cover the sensor totally and it want darken it to much but enough to get rid of the star burst. I took a black sharpie to it mostly to cover the silver and it's about perfect. Will get a pic when I get home this evening. Need to try it in full sunlight to

Yes sir. The tape has to be pretty precise or it want darken enough or darkens to much and the dot disappears. Ronnie brought up a good point about window tint. I may try that

First thing I did when I got mine was cover the sensor with black tape. Makes it dimmer and perfectly round. I don't see how anyone could line one up as bad they star burst. If you use electrical tape you do have to play around with it cause you can get it to where you can't even see the dot
