SA28 tactical or SA 28 compact all purpose
Lets hear your thoughts. Seems to me the compact is throwing a better pattern than the tactical but the tactical is a nice camo with the pistol grip. Im torn between the 2 and was able to actually find a compact. Not much time here to decide. LOL I have components to load for the gun. Just need the ...

The 1 7/16 oz load is pretty darn deadly if it would handle it.

Re: Sad day in WV young man killed
Very very sad. I didnt know rifles were legal in any spring turkey season. We as hunters regardless if legal or not need to make the right decisions.
Its up to us to keep the woods safe for each other to enjoy.
My heart goes out to his family and friends.
My condolences

Re: Another 410 review
Good info.
The feds and the apex shoot terrible out of mine with the factory choke.
Looks like the Foxtrot tightens things up a bit. Maybe next year if I can find an IC 385 by than Ill carry the 410. Might even try running a Jebs if need be.

Re: 410 patterns Legend
How are the 10's working out for kills? Im considering running a 1 1/4oz load if 10's in the 20 gauge. When I get my hands on a better choke for the 410 stevens ill be looking you up for some loaded rounds. The factory choke isnt too good. 10βs in a 20 I would use for ducks They tend to open fast o...

Re: Good Load For A Knight TK-2000 ??
I couldnt imagine and dont want to find out what its like to be on the receiving end of a hot 2 1/2oz load in the TK. Heck I picked mine up a couple days ago and thought it could stay in the house.

I shot 2oz loads of 8's and 7's through the same Hevi .667 choke out of my SBEII 12. Was the best patterning choke I had for that gun.

Re: Apex 20ga TSS #10
I've loaded tens in a 1 1/4 oz load in the 20 for the higher count for the grandson but he has yet to be able to pull the trigger on a bird. Personally I think the tens arent a good match for the 20 in a heavier payload. 8's to 9 1/2's with the 9 1/2's in a duplex load is about the only way I'd use ...

Re: Mossberg International SA-28
Great to hear. That might just be the deal breaker. I can pick one up today and I've been on the fence of whether or not to buy one. I'll kick some tires for a bit this morning. I have too many 20's and a 410 that's just not cutting the mustard. They can't handle the 20's yet and the 410 just doesn'...

Re: Looking for choke suggestions for my M2 20 26"
I shot the Sumtoy .562 with a straight 1 5/8 oz load of 9 1/2's. Got 310 in the 10 and a decent looking 20. Problem is I don't really want to rely on 9 1/2's if I don't have too. I'd much rather be shooting 8 or 7's over using 9 1/2's. With the 9's I'm only getting around 180 to 190 in the 10 if tha...

I'm considering that also because I haven't shot through any chokes between the .562 Sumtoy and the .578 Hevi choke.huntinsomd wrote: βMarch 27th, 2021, 6:17 pm Carlson's .575 works well in my M2. Nice even pattern.

Re: Looking for choke suggestions for my M2 20 26"
I'll pick up a .565 Jebs and maybe give them a call at Sumtoy and see if he will make a few chokes for me. IC is dragging their feet and probably are a long way off from having any of the more open chokes made up. Given what your barrel is doing with the Jeb's .560", I'd likely go the other wa...

Yes I'm drawing the circle after I shoot so it's around the core.
