Re: 28 gauge o/u
If you're looking for a 28 ga compact, you might want to look at swampfox's Savage 555 28 Gauge Compact in classifieds here. Great choice! Jim, I am guessing a trigger job by a good smith would be more effective than the cost of a new gun. That is if all other aspects of the Tristar appeal to her. ...

Re: Weatherby Element 20ga pattern
I ordered a Trulock .560 for mine. Getting it drilled and tapped at the moment. I’m going to use the Burris Marlin 336 mount and put a FF3 on it. I wish I could shorten the stock &an inch or so. May look into getting that done

Re: Weatherby Element 20ga pattern
Got mine today and couldn’t resist taking it for a hike this afternoon I really like it. Just needs drilled for a ff mount. I think I’ll try the Burris 336 mount AE1FEFA1-C8D9-4D34-95D1-B54C1DCF9EB9.jpeg What do you think turk, that weatherby or M2. If a fella was considering both is the M2 worth t...

Will be anxious to know if it does, I’m a trigger geekCasey Napier wrote: ↑September 23rd, 2023, 7:06 am I have a Taran Tactical spring kit for Benelli. I have installed them in several Benelli's and Stoegers but have yet to put them in my Weatherby. It looks like it should work but IDK yet.

Re: Weatherby Element 20ga pattern
Yes I sure didn't need another 20ga but when Buds had them at half price I couldn't resist the temptation so I bought one. Trigger is pretty decent but I am a trigger snob so I might try a Benelli spring kit as it looks really similar? Or does anyone have any recommendations for trigger fix? It is ...

That Vintagers Shoot is something I could get in to, too bad my bank account disagrees. The closest I can get is squirrel hunting with my old flintlock. https://scontent-ord5-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/369148903_10227766339202521_4423006547431812370_n.jpg?stp=cp6_dst-jpg&_nc_cat=102&ccb=1...

Definite chant, past prime but still good in the pan. With all the rain we have had this summer we load up. I've made soup, quiche, smoothered sauteed chants over dove breast medallions and filled omelettes with them. Here's a bacon and chant quiche. Gil https://i.imgur.com/v5pFODX.jpg That looks g...

Im seriously considering one of these in 20ga . Those of you who have them, is the barrel regulation acceptable. I will definitely go with the skinner sights. Also what chokes does ot take?

At one time, I had an Ithaca, Mag 10 "Roadblocker". with a 22", vent rib barrel threaded by Jes Briley w/ turkey and waterfowl chokes. I also had an IC choke for dove hunting and home defense. The gun was banned from the duck and goose blinds, and even open lay-out field hunting due ...

Barrel length
I’m contemplating having a barrel cut down. Problem is, it’s a ribbed barrel and to hit a post I’ll be at about 19”. Has anyone compared performance on a barrel that short with a 24” plus?
