Re: Gas or Inertia?

I'm going to wait two more years...and then offer up my opinion. By then it might be a decision on Biden's double barrels ( the gun were supposed to go out on the back deck and shoot it off up in the air to scare away intruders), if it should be single or double trigger. I still laugh at that.

Nice! We make those quite a bit on the Akorn, and as long as nobody tries to pack on too many toppings, they turn out great.

Couldn’t tell ya..From what I “remember”tho the magnums was slower then the original loads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yep, with Winchester loads, it seems velocities and payloads pretty much go hand-in-hand. XX mags usually have heavier payloads, so their velocities are slower. I think the ...

Re: Mouth Calls vs Friction Calls and Trumpet style calls

When I started hunting, I used mouth calls only. A few years later, I played around with box and pot calls when birds weren't responding. Even later, I used them about 50/50. But in the last few years, I switched to mostly using pot calls. Of course, I carry four different pots and eleven strikers, ...

Re: How was your season?

I vote "Above average but not better than last year". The weather ranged from brutally cold to brutally hot. The birds worked fine when it as cold, BUT not when it was hot. I was able to tag out in MO and IA on the cold days, but the KS days were scorchers and shut down their Easterns.

The habitat is so broken up in my parts that you can kill 10 birds on 160 acres...yet not hear a peep on the 1600 acres across the road.

The Iowa farms I hunted seemed way down this year; HOWEVER the Missouri farms, less than 50 miles away, were just fine. The problems appear to be very localized.
