I vote "Above average but not better than last year". The weather ranged from brutally cold to brutally hot. The birds worked fine when it as cold, BUT not when it was hot. I was able to tag out in MO and IA on the cold days, but the KS days were scorchers and shut down their Easterns.

The habitat is so broken up in my parts that you can kill 10 birds on 160 acres...yet not hear a peep on the 1600 acres across the road.

The Iowa farms I hunted seemed way down this year; HOWEVER the Missouri farms, less than 50 miles away, were just fine. The problems appear to be very localized.
