These new projected tracks don't look too good for us. Here's hoping it weakens before it gets here.
We are about 2.5 miles off the coast(as the crow flies) and just south of Myrtle Beach.

Re: Gator hunting and doves
Got a gator tag burning a whole in my pocket and over 250 doves coming into my millet patch. Not a bad Labor Day weekend as long as I don’t end up in the ER like my last gator hunt. Sign up to be my ER driver and you can win a free dove hunt on Monday! Where are you that gators and doves are on the...

Somehow I can't see yankees being able to make good cornbread, but the mention of a cast iron skillet is certainly a good start to making good cornbread.

Re: A controversial subject.
I love bow hunting. But there’s a lot of bow hunters who think they are the shizzle and think they are better at everything. I 😆 when they tell me that they bow hunt through gun season. One time I watched a monster 8 point at 120 yards go past me to the hot doe and small bucks chasing her. I though...

Re: A controversial subject.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that one style is better than the other, but it most certainly takes more skill to shoot(and kill) instinctively. Surely, you know that. Just different thought processes about what folks want out of their hunting experiences. Some folks want all the advantages that the...

Re: Birthday Girl
I appreciate the advise, Gil. I have no plans to take her while it's so hot. I am in a dove club that only has 10 members and we sell the other spots on the field for the first 2 hunts. She will not go to those. I will wait till it's, at most, the 10 of us friends. The worst thing on a dove field is...

Finley will be a year old on Sunday. She demands attention, but she's a great dog. We'll see how she does on a dove hunt in about a month.

Re: Time for a new truck
Ok, I found the ultimate. Toyota Tundra TSS. It can leave more rubber in a burn out circle than any other truck, penetrate the deepest mud, you can even down size to a smaller tire and truck without sacrificing performance. This TSS is the real deal. I'm thinking about building my own, if someone i...

All this assault weapons ban talk is just stupid. Besides the 1934 bill, that banned average citizens from owning machine guns without government knowledge and approval, there has never been an assault weapons ban. The "Brady Bill" (1994-2004) under Clinton required different features on A...

To me, fall hens are fine to shoot, but I'd never shoot one in the spring, legal or not. What is the difference in shooting a "Legal" hen in the spring or shooting one in the fall? I'm not sure what your reasoning is here. My reasoning has nothing to do with populations or genetics, it's ...

Re: New regulations for SC
No offence to yall out-of-state hunters, but the raised cost for tags is one of my favorite parts of the bill. As it is now, anyone who wants turkey tags just has to ask for them when they buy their license. Lots and lots of folks get turkey tags with no intentions of ever going turkey hunting. They...
