Re: The Stans

They should have picked you to be on their show. They need a couple real hunters.

Re: BUGs

Not only borax but cover the end of the beard as well. Either use hot glue or wax. That will keep the bugs off the area.

Re: feet, knees and butts

If I don't have my vest I feel naked. Plus it has all my gadgets in it, like thermacell and calls. I have a thick pad on the vest but for some reason I can't get it to stay underneath me when I'm hunting. I'm always mobile and have killed turkeys about every way you can. Some more thought needs to g...

Great picture. Love the old pictures with dead turkeys and old camo. I started in 83 and killed my first in 85. It was a happenin if you killed a turkey back then.

Re: Wingbone or trumpet?

I love using a trumpet. I've killed a few gobblers that would not have died without it. It also carries further than other calls in the field. Get consistent with the yelp and cluck and you will kill turkeys. No need to learn how to kee kee, purr or gobble on it.

Re: Goulds turkey

Mexico is your best bet. Getting a tag in AZ or NM would be like winning the lotto. I have a friend, Jay Scott, who does some Goulds hunts in Mexico. You can look at some of his hunts @Jay Scott outdoors. He is also on facebook and posts alot of Goulds hunts on there. He is from AZ.

Re: Used To Be!

Nice truck. I laughed when I read the beginning of this post. I was in MT with a friend and was trying to roll the window down and couldn't find the button. Then I realized there was no button and there was a handle to roll the window down. LOL
