Re: H&R Topper Part 2
Bet so, as it appears your trigger was dipped just like mine, so guessing your assembly must have been upgraded at some point. My factory trigger touches off crisply, so not sure the need for an upgrade Brice. They sure tote nicely though. Built tough. I opted for the fiber optic rifle sights so it ...

Nice pattern with your 9s! Mine shoots the 2oz of #7 hevi 3" through an original JH .660 superbly.
Is your trigger guard black? My trigger guard was factory dipped with the action.

Currently out of stock at Mossberg, but you can likely easily find the stud at other online retailers like Midway, etc. now you have a descriptor and part number.

I was glad to see not just how well Dave handled this, but that he chose to include it in the video as a teaching moment on public land courtesy.
Well done Dave!

Re: Seems like everybody forgets Permar.
Bringing his thread to the top for good reason! Found my mailbox was packed full of feathers yesterday. Ralph Permar finished up my new Model .45 in desert ironwood, with an amber tip riding on top. This one is different than most others though. Check out that amber tip - see the spiraling on the in...

Re: H&R Turkey model 12ga
Oh my gosh - same thing. I bought my little 12 gauge single 20+ years ago, and of course had to try the new 3.5" Winchester loads which were all the rage. And yep, my shoulder looked exactly like that after touching off just four rounds, except my black/blue went all the way to my breastbone. N...

Re: What's your heaviest & lightest gobbler?
Heaviest was 21.6 lbs. Lightest was just over 14 lbs. Both long beards with good, sharp spurs. The light weight bird I killed was interesting. Got him from almost the exact same tree I had called from the previous year for the old timer in our camp. He killed a long beard that morning ten minutes af...

Re: EGW Red Dot Optics mounts
What about a Beartooth comb riser kit if you don't have a buddy with a machine shop? Raised mine 3/8". Clear view of Vortex Venom on 301T. Add/subtract 3/8". Same, same other than aesthetics. Am I missing something? Its what I did on my little Mossberg 500. Added a Beartooth which also ma...

It uses double-sided adhesive tape which is applied under the lip of the hood where you would traditionally have screwed in the older style.

Re: Bug Shield
Kev - I've had a stick-on bug shield on my 2012 Titan since it was brand new, and no issues with it coming loose, etc. It did rub the hood paint on the driver and passenger wing edges, requiring me to add a sticky rubber bumper on the inside of the shield to keep it off the hood when compressed by t...

And awesome "kee-ers" for chasing the fall birds. I've owned two of Ralph's trumpets, a classic in osage and a 1920 in ironwood. Awesome callers for sure.

Re: Pistol grip stock
I put one like that on my Mossberg 500 20 gauge that was camo dipped to match my gun. Took it off after 5 minutes. I just didn't like the way it felt or handled, and I really wanted a pistol grip. Couldn't get there, went back to a traditional stock. But while not for me, it was total quality.

Not a bad looking gun. What do you suppose that barrel length is? 26 inch? Agree, looks nice and it looks long. My first thought seeing this picture was the barrel could use a good 3-4 inches lopped off. 26" barrel over my arm walking a field flushing pheasants, sure. 26" barrel slung ove...
