Re: 20 GA Auto?
I have had an M2 and a SX3. I like the SX3 better. It doesn't come out of battery while you are chasing gobblers, shoots great with a Carlson's .585 $25 choke, still fairly light, and cost $400 less. M2's feel great and are a bit lighter. It cost me a coyote last turkey season because it came out o...

Re: which state has the best turkey hunters?
Way to many variables to even offer a guess. If each state had the same season date around the peak gobbling for their area, same bag limit, same numbers of turkeys, same number of hunters then maybe you could form an opinion. I do believe in the 90/10 rule and majority just have no clue. I would ha...

Re: 20 GA Auto?
You could check out the Franchi affinity. Half the price and very very similar to the m2. Only differences I'm aware of is the recoil spring is in the forearm rather than the butt like the m2, balance will be a little more forward for that reason, uses mobil choke instead of crio and no comfort stoc...

Re: Grouse in VA
I am looking for a guide to hunt grouse with in VA. I usually only hunt grouse 2 or 3 times a year in the WMAs of western VA. I have had good luck a few times, but really it was just dumb luck. Do you any of you know of a guide service in VA, that can show me the proper way to hunt grouse? You must...

Re: SBE 2 trigger job?
The one above or rob Roberts. I ordered a extra trigger and hammer and done it myself in case I screwed up. There's a reason a lot of smiths want touch em or make em light. The design want allow it. You can get it better than factory but it want be no rifle trigger. Mine was over 7lbs and a ton of c...

I sat against a tree one morning that 2 longbeards were roosted in. A buddy had roosted them for me since I was working. He didn't know the area to well and by his description I figured I was about 150 yards away when I sat down to wait for gobbling to start. They were only roosted like 10 and 15 fe...
