Re: At a fork in the road!!!!
This question takes me back 28years.. I was in the Navy and seeing young children not even know who their dad was when we arrived home from deployment. I made the choice of getting out and raising a family and have never regretted it for one minute. Don't get me wrong, I thought about what if severa...

Re: Strut Commander
I hate seeing one hunter cut another down for their style of hunting, if it's legal and ethical what damn difference does it make. Guys, we are all in this together. I don't use decoys, don't use blinds, don't use fans but if there was a certain turkey that I wanted to kill and couldn't kill it the...

Re: Toughest State You Ever Turkey Hunted
Alabama - Mississippi back in the mid 80's!!!! Interesting you say that. I don’t know a thing about MS, but that was the heyday of turkeys in the southern half of AL. I miss them days. I’ll pick the mtns of northern GA just for the terrain. I hate steep hills... The reason it was so tough was due t...

I've been using Precision and BPI roll crimpers. I purchased a GAEP roll crimper from Dale Wildman on Facebook and wow do the crimps look so much better and more uniform. Well worth it to give them a try! Get ahold of Dale Wildman for other GAEP products also!

Re: Good large cooler
Coleman Xtreme!! May not be as tough as a Yeti, but it keeps ice a long time and one hell of a lot cheaper... If I need to keep a few items for a really long time on a hunt, I have a smaller cooler that fits inside to store meat, milk, eggs, etc. Then use the rest of the cooler for drinks and what n...

2 Grand Slams are in the books
I just finished up not 1 but 2 Grand Slams.. I killed 2 Osceola"s near Kenansville, Fl. in March of 2016. I've been fortunate enough to have killed several Eastern's across the country. I just killed 2 nice Merriam's near Crawford, Ne. and on the same trip I killed 2 rio's near Glasco, Kansas t...

Re: turkey poop
This is an HONEST to goodness true story. I left work early one morning and drove 1-1/2 hours up to a spot in New York I hunt. I figured I'd better go to the bathroom (Tree) before I get dressed, as that was a ritual after several cups of coffee. As I squatted against a tree the birds begin to chirp...

Very good story! Met him twice before he passed, once he came to PA. for a seminar and to hunt with a couple of my friends ( I think I was 8 ) and the other at a seminar in MS. when my ship was stationed in MS. At this meeting he even took the time to reminisce about his hunt in PA. We started makin...
