Put a pistol grip on my Mossberg 500 20 gauge. Took it off 5 minutes later, and sold it. Conventional stock for me.

Re: That’s a wrap

I saw more ignorance in fellow hunters this year in a few day span than I had the previous 25 plus seasons! And I am not talking about specific hunting tactics I am talking about coming into my set ups and ruining my hunts knowingly! Last time I hunt the opener in that place! This describes exactly...

Re: Shotgun that wont break your face

Strongly recommend the 20 as well, but tone that payload down a touch further with the Hot Rod load from Brice. That's 1 3/8oz. of 9s and with it I'm able to put 300+ in a 10" ring at a lasered 40 yards with that load.

Re: Federal 3rd degree

I ran 3rd Degree through a .555 IC and a Mossberg 500. Definitely a good 30-35 yard pattern. Held enough 7s together to be similar performance to 12 gauge Winchester red hull Supreme patterns I got in 4s or 5s lead many years ago and stock xfull chokes. Shoot TSS straight 8s and straight 9s, but sti...

Marlin's boxes are addictive.....added another misfit the other week. The new addition is mora over black gum, and has an incredible range of turkeys on each rail. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51928880780_d14211b1df_z.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51940671440_9119e6220c_z....

Been wearing Sitka Thunderhead GTX I got off ebay for a couple years, and they work great. Like these so much wear them spring and fall seasons, even in the snow during deer season. Plus one more layer to treat with Sawyers.

With Col. Kelly as well, stopped carrying a deke 25 years ago. Zero interest, even a tv show or utube film with a deke, skipping it. Woodmanship is way more interesting to watch.

TSA may not allow you to pack these in your carry on with the carbide tip soil. Plan to stash them in your checked luggage.

Soiltester - I hunt the Appalachian mountains and spent over the years a disproportionate amount of my woods time falling down and getting up. Couple guys I hunt with started using collapsible trekking poles when we hunt, so I searched around. Turns out Amazon has close to a million types and brands...
