I agree with this.gobbler336 wrote:i have thought about this before and alabama gets the #1 spot in my book, followed closely by south carolina. i think i has to do with the more birds you are allowed to kill like others have said. more time in the woods is just gonna make you better period.

Re: 20 GA Auto?
If it was strictly going to be a turkey thumper, I would look at the Mossberg SA-20. It is getting good reviews from what I have been reading and has a pretty good price. Oh Derrick, really. Mossturd. Don't mislead folks like that. The Franchi is a fine choice. JD[/quote] I thought about you as soo...

Re: 20 GA Auto?
I have had an M2 and a SX3. I like the SX3 better. It doesn't come out of battery while you are chasing gobblers, shoots great with a Carlson's .585 $25 choke, still fairly light, and cost $400 less. M2's feel great and are a bit lighter. It cost me a coyote last turkey season because it came out o...

Re: .410 Remington 870 Build Questions
Thanks for all your replies and I do respect your opinions. My question is does the TSS load become the great equalizer? Does the .410 now become the same as a 20 gauge with factory loads? I tried to read a lot on the .410 after seeing the different posts on hunting with a .410. In my humble opinio...

Man I hate the weather was so bad. It was good to meet ya JD! That apple pie you baked was something else. Hopefully next time the weather will cooperate and we will actually get to do what you guys came for. The cell service will still be bad tho. Good to see Hawglips, Shooter, and Lily as always. ...

Re: discontinued nikon turkey pro?
Had a turkey pro and I think it is as good as of scope as you get. I loved it when things went the way they were supposed to. Loved the confidence the magnification gave me when taking the shot. That being said, it added quite a bit of weight and I got a sweet scar from it when I had to get in an aw...

Hunted with my 26" barreled 20 gauge m2 all season with no problems. I used to think shorter the better, but now I think 26" is the best of both worlds.

I would spend the money on a turkey choke and TSS. Get the most use out of your sweet M2 as possible.

Re: beretta AL 391 urika 20ga.
If you want to use this gun, don't try to save money in the process. You will spend more on gas, boots, camo, calls, and such. Hevi Shot, Fed HvyWeight, or TSS. Follow the choke tips for those shells and you will have your 40yd. 20. True story. Upgrading ammo is best/quickest way to make a 40 yard ...

Re: Turkey Shotgun - Need some advice
If it was my money, I'd get an all-around shotgun. I agree with Hawglips. I enjoy my all around shotguns and feel more comfortable using a gun I use all the time when it is crunch time. That being said I have a sweet "turkey" gun fully set up in classifieds you may be interested in. :thum...

Love those Barnes bullets. Like the 110 grain in the .270 WSM and the 80 grain in the .243 is my favorite for little NC whitetails.

Re: Zimmerman Found NOT Guilty by Jury and then......
Only Zimmerman knows what happened that night. If he was faced with the decision to shoot or be killed, that is one thing, and was entitled to self defense. However, he could've avoided the situation by listening to the 911 operator who told him to stop following and leave it to the police. I don't...
