Re: Scratch boxes

Another vote for SS. I've got 4 or 5 of theirs and they're all great. I never leave home without one. They make a narrow version and one that's almost a square box. I prefer the square because I can run it like a jake/gobbler or a hen. I dont think there's a call out there that makes better gobbler ...

Re: Strut Commander

I always enjoyed his pics and threads at the end of the season. That video was less than impressive though. His calling was pretty bad and a fan killed all those birds. I guess I expected a little something different

Re: ATI Cavalry O/U .410 and TSS 9.5 shot

Yours sure shoots a lot better than my Cavalry did. Mine was so poor with the factory chokes I decided not to even test any further. Congrats! Threw his sucker in the dirt and left. Just how bad was it? I don't remember exactly, but it was about 50 pellets in the 10" at 40 yards. It was pathetic

Yea that shadow box is really nice. Great work. I tried to zoom in and can't tell for sure, but I think those spurs would look longer if you flipped them over.

GLS, how long do you usually dry the cane? I'm going to chop down a few next time I find some.

PCP, I was about to ask about the cane. We've got several patches of what we call bamboo. Is this r8ver cane something different?

Re: Choke filing

Mine didn’t shot good at 40 with factory chokes!! I got a Briley .375 2” choke, and it shot 199 in the 10” at 40 yards. Got in the 160’s with a SumToy choke. The SumToy choke was a real even pattern. After getting 199 in the 10 at 40 yards it dropped off about 60 percent at 50 yards. Dang that's im...
