Turkish import. Cheaper models are sold through academy. High end models elsewhere.

Re: New turkey gun ?

Call CZ and send it in. They reworked my 20 to around 5 pounds each on warranty work. They were awful like you said before the work. I'll give them a call, 5 pounds would be great. I really hate having to return a brand new gun. This was a G2? How did you find it otherwise? Center patterns ok?

CZ Bobwhite G2

Has anyone tried one yet? I am looking at the LH version in 20ga for woodcock, quail, etc. A turkey man would have helpful critical info. on POI and triggers, etc. Thanks.

When I was a little fella these Benelli fanatics would have been touting Browning A5s. I think Benelli was only making motorcycles back then.

Angle top trumpets

If you wanted a trumpet with a slant tip mouthpiece and vulcanized rubber barrel, who would you ask to make it? Budget $200 max.

Re: Gun or shells

Been killing gobblers with the same Yildiz O/U since 2014. In state, out of state, and am often fortunate in amount of hunting and shots taken. :dontknow: I don't know that it's better than most Browning, but I wouldn't trade it for a new Citori. Might would for a proven Cynergy Feather, but only if...

Re: Gun or shells

A lot of turkeys fall before people using calls they bought at walmart. I wouldn't touch one. Some people pay literal thousands for a call and actually hunt it. Tap the brim and carry on.

Re: Swamp foot apparel recommendations

The boots you have with thorlo coolmax socks is a good combo but it's hard on the boots. Jungle boots with ripple sole worked for me but that was years ago. I clicked around after hobbes thread on this subject. There are newer takes on jungle boots these days. Altama is the brand. Been watching Ryan...

That's the Clown model. Works great. Turkeys laugh themselves to death. They fall right over so you can just go pick them up.

Be careful you don't exceed the limit. :LMAO:

Re: Yildiz O/U trigger?

Simple answer is ask Briley. Probably get free shipping at Academy fun desk.

Fwiw, I've bought four Yildiz with no heavy triggers yet. The first one was missing the trigger pivot pin though.

Re: Selling Firearms Online via Private Sales

You sell it on gunbroker. Get paid. Get a copy of the FFL for the FFL holder the buyer wants you to ship it to. Pack it up very well with a copy of the FFL and your driver's license. Take it to the post office and ship it off to the address on the FFL. As long as they're not in a place with weird ru...

Plan on everything getting ant muddy regardless. Everything will be noisier than expected on the morning.

And a kayak can be more challenging to exit with high banks.

Re: Not trying to panic y'all, but..

Thermacell and Bugtamer jacket did just fine last Saturday scouting here in South Florida. Once sun was up the skeeters went away. Don’t like DEET or any kind of bug juice! A carryover from deer season. Scent control is impossible in 90+ degree heat and humidity anyway, so bug juice isn’t a conside...

Not trying to panic y'all, but..

Has it occurred to y'all what it would be like if there was a shortage of insect repellent? I know what it was like when I was a kid and the shortage was my parents wouldn't buy any. We got ate up. It was like redbugs considered me a vacation hot spot.

I just ordered a case.

Re: Florida Weather

Back when I hunted down there I settled on ripple sole jungle boots and good quick drying socks. Water drains out and socks dry as you walk. There's probably some new and improved version of that these days. For a short trip I'd probably just abuse some old non-waterproof fabric hiking boots. They'l...

SxS trouble. O/U OK 'cause it just hits low with low barrel. Still on neck. If you do an auto, the weight penalty make mean a 20ga isn't significantly heavier.
