What about the game Roethlisberger had yesterday? Lions got lucky again at the end with the missed field goal retry. If he had made the first kick, the Falcons fans would have been up in arms saying "delay of game" That ball has some funny bounces. Stafford couldn't hit squat the first hal...

I'm gonna disagree with the need to marinate. Wet small strips or chunks with water, beer or whatever. Half inch or just over thickness. Roll in Italian flavored Progresso bread crumbs. Heat peanut oil to 375 F. Don't overload pan, turn over once and the strips brown up fast.

Re: Looking at 28ga shotguns
Doc, that's a good point about the barrel lengths of single-action, O/U or SxS and gun overall length. An auto or pump requires a longer receiver whereas the other three types' actions are more compact. There's not much point in shortening a break-open action's barrel---unless one just wants to.

Burros are common in Colorado with high altitude sheep ranchers. The combination of guard dogs and burros are death to 'yotes and other predators.

I read somewhere that it is legal in TX to do what is on the video. One issue would be a bloody mess in the field. Talk about spreading brucellosis.... I sent the link to a farmer buddy who has been beset with crop depradation by hogs. Usually one shot stampedes the sounder, but this wouldn't.

I've heard and seen the Elk herds at the Railroad Ranch in September. The place is covered with waterfowl as well. What a spectacular place. Looking to the SSE from the Ranch it's hard to believe the Grand Tetons are 50 miles away.

See where the camera was near Island Park, ID. I used to fish the Box Canyon at Island Park below the reservoir and the Harriman State Park a few miles down the road to Last Chance. Some of the best trout fishing in the lower 48 at one time was in the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. Gil

Hogs are like rats except bigger. On a place I hunt, we trapped 25. They left when the area dried up. You've got to catch the entire sounder to eliminate the sob's. A buddy has the cell phone controlled system but he hasn't set it up yet.

Back in the late 1960s, one of the local plantations thought they could control who used the adjacent tidal waters. Back then, private "rabbit sheriffs" harassed and made cases against those who hunted in the surrounding rivers. The good ole boys got sick of it. One had a connection to a G...

That's right, Auburn: Home of Georgia rejects!! I seem to recall a certain Florida reject that landed at Auburn a few years ago and played QB for Chizik. 3 of last years starting secondary from UGA now play for Auburn and Louisville. Tray Matthews is at Auburn and Josh Harvey-Clemons and Shag Wiggi...

He loved to needle other teams, especially the coaches. Some gems over the years: FSU: "Free Shoes University" during one FSU scandal. Auburn: "Heard the library burned down. It's a shame. Some of the books hadn't even been colored in yet." Tennessee: "You can't spell Citrus...

I hunt alone. I consider my phone a safety lifeline. A flip phone would do the same, but with a smartphone, I can look at live weather radar, use it as a gps, look at maps and navigate, take photos.
