Re: Which 20 gauge?
I have had my m2 bolt not fully engage and pull up and click nothing, worked the action manually to load a new shell in. . The dreaded "Benellli Click", no "Boom!". It's something no one warns you about until you experience it. Years ago on one of my first outings with my SBE, t...

Ultimately fit and feel rule the roost for me. The options are many and difficult. Pumps seem to be more able to tolerate adversity better, dirt and abuse. I look at it this way, if my first shell fails to fire it is much easier to pump a new round verses working an auto. I have had my m2 bolt not f...

Re: here's another one -- how would you kill this one?
Set up where the roads form a cross. If the birds gobble at locale B then high tail it between them and the river and try to work it that way. If they gobble at A then ease into the road north of them and st up some decoys on the road and try to get them as they cross. If I had only one day to hunt ...

Re: Now vs Then
I think the caliber of the turkey hunter from past to present has not changed. Information, equipment, population and habitats have. As we evolve with technology we become more efficient killers, not necessarily hunters. There will always be people that are great at what they do no matter the era. I...

Re: How to
I asked a question about fanning birds on a different forum once and the response was an overwhelming, "NO!!". I have considered it on private land, but I'm still weary of the safety factor. You never know when some big dummy will decide to venture onto your spot. If your on private land,...
