Re: New gun
As far as TSS performance, they’ll be zero difference. The difference will be choke and load depending.
Re: One gun
If TSS is around always, my Bobwhite 28.
If the future of shot is uncertain, Browning Maxus 26”. It’ll pattern lead, Hevi, and TSS.

Re: Shooting the Bead
Thanks, guys. I was just curious. My reason for asking is, prior to 2 years ago, all I ever shot was a bead and only recall missing 1 turkey in about 10 years. I put a fastfire on my turkey gun and have missed enough birds in the last 2 years to send most men to the insane asylum. I know the proble...

Re: New turkey gun ?
You won’t go wrong with the Bobwhite in 28. If you’re shooting TSS, you can run 1-5/6 all the way to 1-5/8 ounce loads in it. That’ll get you to 300 pellets in a 10” circle.
The Bobwhite is a sweet gun to carry.

I will kill a super Jake in a heartbeat. If he gobbles and struts and plays the game, he dies.
Throw a triple into the mix and he never stood a chance!

Nice bird! You happen to check your pattern back home after the hunt? I had one do the same thing 2 years ago and darn if my choke tube wasn’t loose. After a big breakfast and a bigger nap, I had to hide the eggs. Checking the gun is on the list though. I'm sure the problem was stupidity and excite...

Sight Picture - Skinner Peep and Fiber Optic Post
I don’t know if anyone may find this helpful or interesting, but I took this photo this morning while not so patiently waiting on a turkey to gobble. This is the view through a Skinner peep with a marbles fiber optic front site as pioneered by our own DocHoliday. Some one may be looking for an alter...

Same thing I am seeing guesswho and Jstocks.
So many folks around our area only deer hunt. They take all their vacation just during deer season, but now they are off during turkey season so why not try it.

Re: Base for 870 youth 20ga.
If it’s already drilled and tapped, EGW, SumToy, and several others make really good bases.
If it’s not already tapped, options are wide open.
