Re: Woodhaven Calls

The Red Wasp sounds great but it is darn hard to play softly. It is stretched tight. Super realistic sounds, but loud.

Re: What's a good gun? Budget friendly.

You could go with single shots. The Stevens are pretty good I hear. Or Mossberg 500 or Remington 870’s are good pump guns at reasonable prices. Gun prices, like most things, have risen in recent years.

Re: Verifying Red Dot Year to Year

I sighted in and then took a few shots with some pheasant heavy 6's at 15 yards. The long range ones pattern fairly tight and are close to the turkey loads in velocity. Subsequent years I shoot a few Heavy 6's to make sure I'm hitting to same point as last year. I will shoot one final TSS at 40 each...

I'm not sure you could find a safer investment than land. My question would be just the reverse. Why rent when I could buy.
With near a billion why worry about future money? But I'm getting old, gotta enjoy it fast. :D

Re: 1st dedicated turkey gun help!

I bought an SA 20 after last spring season. I puta Kingslayer Green circle dot on it. I really like the green and the circle doesn't seem like it will be in the way, and may help with ranging a bird. I've hunted red dot tubes and reflex sights, this is my first green one. In a testing and shooting s...

Re: Mossberg SA-28 Tactical Turkey

I have a regular sa-28 with walnut stock and I wanted to order a plastic stock and forend and they told me they have no extra parts for them. That the guns come complete and it is what it is. Kinda odd but maybe parts will come available They sell more guns by not selling upgrades. I would think th...

Your worry is well founded.. That is not seated well. You need that gap closed before shooting it. I'd clean it and put it back together until that was touching.

Hoobilly how is that turkey convention we thought about trying to go down this year never been to it. And any recommendations on a place to stay. I went about three years ago. My wife booked us at the Gaylord. Pricey, but very nice. But it was also part of an anniversary trip. There are a couple of...

This is what I use. Fairly unobtrusive. 174C2E86-F230-4554-8960-12BB7FBD50A2.jpegA033A3CC-A664-49D4-B52E-3F88EE283AF3.jpeg I have that exact set up. Works for me. The mask straps shift a couple of times per night but I still sleep better that without. Been using mine for years, tried a few differen...

I bet Glenda Green could add the chair sacks to her products if asked. I have a Hunting USA sack and could provide her pics and dimensions if needed.
Mostly I use a gunsling on mine and a big twisty to keep it folded up when carrying. Faster deploying.

I have the first gun pictured above. 20 gauge. Put a Carlson's choke, an ultralight sling and a Kingslayer Green circle dot on it. After I got the choke I read the factory choke does pretty well with TSS. Probably should have shot it first. :) They advertise them as 5.5 lbs I think? Mine is 6 lbs as...

Did they actually die FROM covid or WITH covid. There is a huge difference.
I believe they base their reports on cause of death listed on the death certificate.
