I think you two deserve each other. I'm not sure either one of you could kill a bird by yourself....LOL. Congrats to you both!

Re: Reccomendation for a youth firearm...
Here's what my daughter has used since the age of 9. Rem 870 20 ga. w/ an attached Hunters Specialties V-Pod. Makes it easy for her to hold the gun on her shoulder while the birds are on their way.

Congrats on staying with it and getting a bird. It does make you wonder what the problem is.

Leah hammers her first of 2016
The "turkey dance" is slowly getting less and less the older she gets. She has really become a fantastic turkey hunter. Other than call, all I do is tell her when he's in the camera.

Leah hammers her first of 2016
First let me say, my camera skills were TERRIBLE today. I did not get the kill shot. I have no idea what happened. I thought I hit record, but I must have hit record twice because all I got was the bird standing in front of us for about 1 second. The birds were vocal as usual. They've been flying do...

RSF vs IC .555
In reality the IC 562 is the perfect choke for that combo. I had both the IC 555 and 562 and the 562 was a little better hunting pattern. The 555 however was easier to find and a little tighter of course.

Ended the "missing" streak Saturday Morning.
Well most of you know I struggled last year, missing 3 birds. I called up 15+ longbeards into range but only personally went home with 1. That streak ended Saturday morning!

I doubled up with a young man on opening morning. Birds come in behind us and he had to make a shot while being twisted up like a pretzel. Needless to say it worked out in our favor.

Re: Filming your hunts....
Before making a big investment in equipment, you need to ask yourself what you are trying to accomplish in your filming. If you are just doing it for your own enjoyment and are not planning on trying to put together professional-quality video productions (which umpteen zillion other people are doin...
