If it were me, I would send it off to have it fixed by a specialist who could also glass bed it. Here's a real pro who won't charge an arm and a leg:

Re: Pork Chops!

The best way to get rid of feral hog sounders is corral trapping. There's a company that manufactures a cell phone remote video/gate closing portable corral that gets all at once. The live feed with video lets one know when they are all inside; then the gate can be closed on command. With the gestat...

Re: Dove Bird Recipe

Tommy, good luck on the woodrows. They are the finest eating bird awing. I've got a "beer can" type cooker that holds the bird upright with a wire frame on a pan. With a hot grill, it takes about 15 minutes to cook a bird rare to medium rare. I don't breast woodies, I cook the whole bird. ...

Re: Dove Bird Recipe

I pluck my birds which takes less time than most think it takes. I place them in a large Ziploc bag, add olive oil and coat the birds. Salt and pepper and place on a hot grill and cook until rare to medium rare. Cooked up a bunch for my 85 year-old mother last night. She loves to eat snipe, ducks an...

Here's an example of the 1 oz. Kyle Smith load shot out of my single shot Baikal. 1250 fps, 124 TSS 9's in 10" ring at 40 yards:

Re: .410 Remington 870 Build Questions

Just to make sure I am thinking correctly. With the 20 gauge I can load a lighter recoil TSS load that will be equal to or less than the recoil of the .410? The advantage being more pellets in the 20 gauge lighter recoil load versus the .410? Secondly, I do not think I would gain a lot of weight ad...

Re: .410 Remington 870 Build Questions

William Lambert (Sumtoy) is currently "sleeving" a Yildiz .410 single shot, a gun I bought for a buddy. The gun currently is borderline with 75-80 pellets in the 10 ring at 40. My Yildiz .410 averages 100 in the ten ring. Depending on how Billy's gun turns out with a sleeved, tighter choke...

source for Baikal 20 gauge single shot-youth model

After a dry spell lasting months, it appears that Cheaper Than Dirt has restocked .410, 12 and 20 gauge single shots. Only one model of the 20 is in stock. Disregard the reported weight of 9 lbs. It's about 5.25 in the adult size and probably and ounce or two lighter in the youth. Shipping is genera...

Hal, I could do the same out of a box if they were sitting on a wire. Flying? Ain't gonna happen. Great shooting. I like 8s for early season babies, but wintertime heavily-feathered migratory doves fall better for me with #7.5. Others mileages may vary.

Del, is it based on topos? I bought a chip for the SE off ebay to use in my Garmin 320 dog collar gps. It's not too detailed for where I like to hunt being based on old topos. I haven't looked into the Garmin satellite image maps. Gil
