Re: Over/under suggestions
I cant speak to all the makers but I have a Tristar upland hunter in 20 ga that was priced right and is proving to be a nice gun for the $. Have buddies with the Yildiz and they really like them. I am also a CZ fan. Moderate $ and solid and well made. CZ also has a lot of models and options in vario...

Nice pattern right there! Nicely drawn circle / quads and very legible handwriting too! Professional grade! I like to shoot some paper but clearly my standards need to improve some.

Always been a Bond fan. Daniel Craig may be the best of all but hard to beat the legend of Connery. The rest, passable. Even tho the old Bonds are kinda hokey in today world. Remember the Man from U.N.C.L.E. ??? Loved that tv show. LOL!!!

By all means go 6x or better. I use mine as rangefinder AND a monocular most of the time. Cuts down on the weight factor.

Just saw this. Wore 5.11 cotton AND taclite pants for years as work gear. Ultimately would wear the cotton out but never did kill a pair of taclite. Both excellent. Cant go wrong there.

Re: Thinking about adding a red dot
My vortex venom is 3 MOA and I wouldn't really want anything bigger. I don't have any experience with the Fastfire but their reputation is pretty solid. I will say that I stripped the threads out on one of my venoms battery compartment. Lifetime warranty so I called, no hassles, no find the old pape...

Love the pistol grip on my turkey gun but no thanks to the thumbhole stock. But I have guns with p grip and conventional. As long as I can reach the trigger .... I'm good.

They are GREAT for old eyes that see the back site fuzzy on open sites. I prefer the reflex style and can shoot with both eyes open. No issues with magnification confusing range like a scope. If its sited in and the dot is on.... the shot hits there. That really helps in some odd ball positions turk...

Get online at the NWTF site and find the regional NWTF biologist for your regional / area. He should be able to assist you. He may even offer to do the measurements if he is close enough to your location.
