Hearing much? Went to Tenn this morning and heard 9. Roost gobbling was slow but they fired up after fly down and gobbled good till about 9:15. All were off public so cant hunt em but it was nice listening. Heading back in the morning cause I still havent found any on public in 3 trips. Looks like t...

Re: Browning 20ga hunter or micro hunter
personally i`d go with a BPS in a 20 gauge, i just like pumps better. plus there is less to go wrong and i`m petty sure it comes i a couple of compact models like the micro and an upland version. One thing is for sure, ANY Browning is going to be a quality firearm. Bps are nice, throw some of the b...

Re: A tip for Burris Fast Fire shooters....
I tried duct tape last night. You can cover the sensor totally and it want darken it to much but enough to get rid of the star burst. I took a black sharpie to it mostly to cover the silver and it's about perfect. Will get a pic when I get home this evening. Need to try it in full sunlight to

Re: A tip for Burris Fast Fire shooters....
Yes sir. The tape has to be pretty precise or it want darken enough or darkens to much and the dot disappears. Ronnie brought up a good point about window tint. I may try thatfountain wrote:this work for ff2? i have the starburst as well some and it will cover a 3" dot at 40 pretty well

Re: TSS Long Shots
Heck, I'd have a beer with Stumpy. I don't take this stuff on the forums too seriously. And, as I said, I'm perfectly aware that I am in the minority that doesn't want to make turkey hunting easier. Blinds, decoys(especially strutters), and shells that will kill to 70yrds...all those things dumb-do...

Re: TSS Long Shots
This long distance shooting with hard shot that can ricochet makes me a little nervous. This is the kind of thing that makes me arrange to do my hunting during the week. You scared of a pellet ricochet? These ain't rifles. You would never hunt here then cause there's just as many during the week as...

Re: TSS Long Shots
Ain't no smoke and mirrors. You can kill one at 80yrds with TSS, if you want to. And if it can be done, it will be done. By some sure but lumping everybody together is kind of dumb don't ya think? That would be like me saying everybody shooting lead keeps there shots within 40. Hell at 80 my dot wo...

Re: TSS Long Shots
I've been loading TSS for 4 years now and for some reason the turkeys keep coming closer. I'm not sure if I've had a 40+ shot since I began loading it... of course, long shots weren't my reason for loading it. I just got fed up with inconsistent factory loads. Man you ain't kidding. I don't know ho...

Re: A tip for Burris Fast Fire shooters....
Yep, I hate the star burst, but have just dealt with it. Before I use tint, I may just try some cloudy scotch tape to see if that does anything. Still thinking tint will be the way to go, just not sure how well it will stick to the aluminum. It'll dang sure stick to slick surfaces well. I believe I...

Re: A tip for Burris Fast Fire shooters....
First thing I did when I got mine was cover the sensor with black tape. Makes it dimmer and perfectly round. I don't see how anyone could line one up as bad they star burst. If you use electrical tape you do have to play around with it cause you can get it to where you can't even see the dot

A few. My uncle and me were a lot a like but old age sadly is catching to him. Been a lot of evenings I got off work and drove to a boat ramp and slept to keep from making the 40 mile drive the next morning. I hunted 43 days last year and start scouting most mornings a month before the season. It do...
