Re: Small caliber aimpoint ?
I've never shot a turkey with a rifle, but if I did, I would not be aiming for the breast meat. I would shoot the head or anywhere below the white meat. As I said, I never did it, but I also think that a FMJ bullet would be a wise choice. Dunno.

Re: First Archery hunt in 8 years
When I was a kid, my buddy and I would hunt rabbits and pheasant with his boxer. He was all we had so we gave him a try. He was an almost unbelievable tracker and would retrieve (most of the time). First and only boxer that I ever hunted with.
His name was Major Hoople.. They are cool dogs.

Re: Question(s) for the Rifle/Ballistics Experts
A little side bar to the question. Bullets don't "rise" after being shot out of the bbl. They are affected by gravity like anything else. They start dropping, albeit slightly, after exiting the bbl. The difference between the line of sight and the trajectory give the illusion that the bull...

Re: OK,.. Time to play
That pic that I submitted is from the boonies of the U.P. I mean nothing but trees for miles and miles. It is highly unlikely that it is a person. I, personally, am not a believer of the Yeti or any other such creature so I'm assuming that it is an animal, of some sort, in a contorted pose. He, on t...

Re: OK,.. Time to play
I don't see much in the first pic. The second looks like a chimp carrying a cardboard English Pointer.. :dontknow: Here's another one for you to decipher. It was on my cousins' trail cam in the Upper U.P. of Mi.. He thinks it's a Yeti. http://i812.photobucket.com/albums/zz47/hognutz262/Dannys%20Yeti...
