Re: Over Choking Tungsten Causing Barrel Damage?
Sloppy, Do you have a good explination as to why the resin works so well for Winchester? Does it keep the lead pellets from deforming? Or does it actually hold the shot column together long enough to make a difference? Seems like it would just shatter, turning into buffer, as soon as it passes thro...

Too bad they used that flight control wad. Doesn't make sense why they would use it for this application but whatever I won't be shooting them.

Re: Remington declaring bankruptcy?
There's a reason they call private equity groups "corporate raiders" because they come in and acquire a company pile on the debt take the profits then when the debt load finally breaks the company's back file for bankruptcy and sell of the product lines at a premium. Fortunately it's Remin...

I'm sure other less expensive options like carlsons or a hs strut undertaker would be more than adequate. But I like Indian Creek.

Re: Browning Gold NWTF 12ga
I ordered a .675 IC for my sx3 and looking to see what that does for the 10-20". I really like the distribution of yours. Thanks, I think it will be a good hunting pattern not for numbers though! It'll be more than good you basically have a 10" horizontal margin left or right of your aim ...

Re: New Guy from Ontario
Great job congrats. Wish my dad taught me about turkey hunting. The closest I got to turkey hunting as a kid was strolling down the frozen food aisle at the grocery store.

Finally
My cousin and I started hunting turkeys 9 yrs ago together and I've been fortunate enough to harvest turkeys and dedicate an above average amount of time to hunting these awesome animals. With that being said my cousin has an incredibly busy schedule and for a good season he gets to go out three tim...

Re: Winchester SX3 and TSS
Open it up! You need about 70/ 80 of those 10 inch hits in the 20. It'd still be tight enough to kill em as far as TSS will kill, and you'll kill more close birds/birds you would otherwise whiff at because of a rushed shot. I shoot a browning trap special, in my Sx3. It's open at close ranges and a...

Re: Winchester SX3 and TSS
Got to test one last time before season gets under way in a week. Packed it down better before crimping no longer getting shot rattling around. Really happy with it and the 10-20" ring saw a 10% improvement.

SW TN Opener
Was able to make it down to TN for the opener. We had a couple roosted Friday evening but like most initial plans they don't usually work out. My buddy swore he heard one a few hundred yards north of us in another patch of woods so we slid over to inspect and when we called (we played the hot hen ta...

Re: Winchester SX3 and TSS
Awesome pattern!!! But a little more wiggle room up close would be good. Somewhere around 250-275 in the 20" I'd like to open it up a hair but at this point I'll run with it and go. Where I do a majority of my hunting (field edges etc. we don't have very large tracts of timber) it sh...

Winchester SX3 and TSS
Finally got a chance to put some on paper. Shot three chokes factory full, patternmaster black cloud full .690, and IC .665. Factory full and pm weren't ideal it had a nice consistent spread but wasn't quite what I was looking for. However my IC.665 was pretty nasty. Did 385 in 10" and 200 plus...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I placed an order this morning for a Matt McClain maple pot with slate. Hopefully he likes it more than his Primos Jackpot.
