Re: Flop Masters' running total:
Don't sweat it TS. Tough years happen. I've still got one tag left and Fuzz is going after a big WI bird or two, so we may still end up with 10 and even culling a bird if things go our way...

Re: Official Score to date 5/8/2012
If I had a vote, I'd say that for guys who actually scored the bird, in spite of not having all the pics right, I'd say let's allow the bird to count. I don't think anyone would cheat...Gobbler wrote:Its the first year. You can ask if we can score these kind of birds but I bet Jay says no.

I've got a 3-day trip out west planned in two weeks, and the chance to fill one more tag.
Is anyone else on the Flop Masters still hunting?

4 gauge 'Grand Slam' on turkeys
I finished a life-time grand slam in 2002, with an osceola. I never tried to do it in one year, though I had the chance and didn't go on the final leg of the hunt. However, this year I set out to do something a tad different. I wanted to kill one with the 4 competition (skeet) gauges -- 12, 20, 28 a...

Beautiful scenery! Congratus on filling your two tags!
I'm trying to get in shape for a 9,000 ft merriams hunt in a couple weeks. I imagine I'll be struggling the first day regardless, going from 300'.

had a lot of fun this morning
I didn't hear anything gobble on the roost, so I eased along towards the creek hoping to hear something down there. As I got there, I heard a bird gobble back away from the creek, so I made my way to the vicinity. When I got fairly close, I called and got no response. So, I set up for a spell to cal...
